1 AN ACT in relation to unemployment insurance.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Unemployment Insurance Act is amended by
5 adding Section 207.1 as follows:
6 (820 ILCS 405/207.1 new)
7 Sec. 207.1. Construction projects.
8 A. Notwithstanding the provisions of Sections 207, 208,
9 and 233, the term "employment" includes an individual's
10 services within this State if the services are performed as
11 part of a construction project.
12 B. In this Section, "construction project" means the
13 acquisition, development, construction, reconstruction,
14 rehabilitation, improvement, architectural planning, or
15 installation of capital facilities consisting of buildings,
16 structures, durable equipment, roads, bridges, or land.
17 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
18 becoming law.
