92_SB1357eng SB1357 Engrossed BOB-Arts02 1 AN ACT making appropriations. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 ARTICLE 18 5 Section 1. The following named sums, or so much thereof 6 as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and 7 purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated to meet the 8 ordinary and contingent expenses of the Illinois Arts 9 Council: 10 Payable from the General Revenue Fund: 11 For Personal Services ........................ $ 1,223,400 12 For Employee Retirement Contributions 13 Paid by Employer ............................ 48,900 14 For State Contributions to State 15 Employees' Retirement Contributions ......... 122,100 16 For State Contributions to 17 Social Security ............................. 93,600 18 For Contractual Services ..................... 173,600 19 For Travel ................................... 28,200 20 For Commodities .............................. 10,200 21 For Printing ................................. 59,800 22 For Equipment ................................ 2,000 23 For Electronic Data Processing ............... 21,300 24 For Telecommunications Services .............. 28,100 25 For Travel and Meeting Expenses of 26 Arts Council and Panel Members .............. 41,200 27 Total $1,852,400 28 Section 2. The following named sums, or so much thereof 29 as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and SB1357 Engrossed -2- BOB-Arts02 1 purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated to the Illinois 2 Arts Council to enhance the cultural environment in Illinois: 3 Payable from General Revenue Fund: 4 For Grants and Financial Assistance for 5 Arts Organizations .......................... $6,755,000 6 For Grants and Financial Assistance for 7 Special Constituencies ...................... 2,909,500 8 For Grants and Financial Assistance for 9 Arts Education .............................. 1,670,000 10 Total $11,334,500 11 Payable from Illinois Arts Council 12 Federal Grant Fund: 13 For Grants and Programs to Enhance 14 the Cultural Environment ......................$ 650,000 15 Section 3. The sum of $1,050,000, or so much thereof as 16 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue 17 Fund to the Illinois Arts Council for the purpose of funding 18 administrative and grant expenses associated with humanities 19 programs and related activities. 20 Section 4. The amount of $371,000, or so much thereof as 21 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue 22 Fund to the Illinois Arts Council for grants to certain 23 public radio and television stations for operating costs. 24 Section 5. The amount of $5,000,000, or so much thereof 25 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue 26 Fund to the Illinois Arts Council for grants to certain 27 public radio and television stations and related 28 administrative expenses, pursuant to the Public Radio and 29 Television Grant Act. 30 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on SB1357 Engrossed -3- BOB-Arts02 1 July 1, 2001.
