Amend Senate Bill 1152, on page 1, 3 line 5, by replacing "Section 8" with "Sections 8 and 9"; and 4 on page 2, below line 6, by inserting the following: 5 "(225 ILCS 20/9) (from Ch. 111, par. 6359) 6 Sec. 9. Qualification for License. A person shall be 7 qualified to be licensed as a clinical social worker and the 8 Department shall issue a license authorizing the independent 9 practice of clinical social work to an applicant who: 10 (1) has applied in writing on the prescribed form; 11 (2) is of good moral character. In determining good 12 moral character, the Department may take into consideration 13 whether the applicant was engaged in conduct or actions that 14 would constitute grounds for discipline under this Act; 15 (3) (A) demonstrates to the satisfaction of the 16 Department that subsequent to securing a master's degree 17 in social work from an approved program (which shall 18 include the masters degree program in social work at 19 Governor's State University if the applicant received his 20 or her master's degree in 2001) the applicant has 21 successfully completed at least 3,000 hours of 22 satisfactory, supervised clinical professional -2- LRB9208440ACcdam 1 experience; or 2 (B) demonstrates to the satisfaction of the 3 Department that such applicant has received a doctor's 4 degree in social work from an approved program and has 5 completed at least 2,000 hours of satisfactory, 6 supervised clinical professional experience subsequent to 7 the degree; 8 (4) has passed the examination for the practice of 9 clinical social work as authorized by the Department; and 10 (5) has paid the required fees. 11 (Source: P.A. 90-150, eff. 12-30-97.)".
