1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1014
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 1014 as follows:
3 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
4 following:
5 "Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by
6 changing Section 11-1502 as follows:
7 (625 ILCS 5/11-1502) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 11-1502)
8 Sec. 11-1502. Traffic laws apply to persons riding
9 bicycles.
10 Every person riding a bicycle upon a highway must shall
11 be granted all of the rights and shall be subject to all of
12 the duties applicable to the driver of a vehicle by this
13 Code, except as to special regulations in this Article XV and
14 except as to those provisions of this Code which by their
15 nature can have no application.

17 Section 10. The Local Governmental and Governmental
18 Employees Tort Immunity Act is amended by adding Section
19 3-111 as follows:

1 (745 ILCS 10/3-111 new)
2 Sec. 3-111. Bicyclists using streets and highways that
3 have special improvements for bicyclists.".
