1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 989
2 AMENDMENT NO. _______. Amend Senate Bill 989, on page 2,
3 line 1, by replacing "any agency" with "any public agency";
4 and
5 on page 2, line 2, by replacing "commission," with "or,
6 commission, or any"; and
7 on page 2, line 7, immediately after the period, by inserting
8 the following:
9 "Only public agency members with tax receipts, tax revenues,
10 taxing authority, or other resources sufficient to pay costs
11 and to service debt related to intergovernmental activities
12 described in this Section, or public agency members created
13 by or as part of a public agency with these powers, may enter
14 into contracts or otherwise associate among themselves as
15 permitted in this Section.".
