1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 844
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 844 on page 1,
3 line 11, by changing "5" to "10"; and
4 on page 1, line 12, by inserting after "proceeding" the
5 following:
6 "and who has never been convicted of a felony involving harm
7 or threat of harm to a child or a felony sexual offense as
8 defined in the Criminal Code of 1961"; and
9 on page 2, by replacing lines 9 and 10 with the following:
10 "minors. Circumstances in which a court may appoint a
11 guardian for an unmarried minor include but are not limited
12 to:"; and
13 on page 5, line 8, by changing "shall" to "may"; and
14 on page 5, line 10, by inserting after "pending" the
15 following:
16 "or in the county where the minor resides"; and
17 on page 5, line 14, by replacing "If the" with the following:
18 "In all cases except cases in which there is a concurrent
19 juvenile court proceeding, if the birth".
