1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 151
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 151, AS AMENDED,
3 by replacing the title with the following:
4 "AN ACT in relation to public aid."; and
5 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
6 following:
7 "Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
8 adding Section 5-5.22 as follows:
9 (305 ILCS 5/5-5.22 new)
10 Sec. 5-5.22. Nursing homes; inspections of care. With
11 respect to facilities licensed under the Nursing Home Care
12 Act, the Department of Public Aid may not initiate or
13 reinstate inspections of care before July 1, 2003. Nothing in
14 this Section, however, prohibits a facility from requesting,
15 nor the Department from conducting, an interim inspection of
16 care if the facility meets the requirements outlined in the
17 Department's rules in effect on November 15, 2001.
18 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
19 becoming law.".
