1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to recognize Laura Anderson, who has
4 served as Chief of Staff to House Republican Leader Lee
5 Daniels since January of 2002; and
6 WHEREAS, Ms. Anderson, a graduate of Western Illinois
7 University, began as a Policy Analyst in January of 1986; she
8 worked her way up professionally and became the District
9 Office Director for Leader Daniels in January of 1989,
10 helping coordinate local outreach programs and overseeing
11 constituent services; and
12 WHEREAS, Her dedication and attention to detail earned
13 her a promotion to Special Assistant in April of 1993, and to
14 Deputy Chief of Staff in September of 2001, where she
15 coordinated the travels of Leader Daniels throughout the
16 State, worked with the Chief of Staff on policy issues, and
17 oversaw the continued smooth operation of the district
18 office; and
19 WHEREAS, In January of 2002, she was promoted to Chief of
20 Staff, where her exceptional ability to work with people and
21 her strong understanding of the issues helped guide the
22 Republican caucus through one of the most challenging
23 sessions in recent memory; and
24 WHEREAS, For most of her adult life, she has worked
25 tirelessly for the House Republicans and for the people of
26 Illinois;
27 WHEREAS, She has had the support of her husband, Chris
28 Kachiroubas, and her three children, Alex, Chandler and Tess;
29 therefore, be it
30 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
31 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that

1 we thank Laura Anderson for her long service to the House
2 Republicans, culminating in her service as Chief of Staff to
3 House Republican Leader Lee Daniels; her dedication, energy,
4 and positive attitude will be sorely missed by the members
5 and staff; we know she will excel in all her future
6 endeavors; and be it further
7 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8 presented to Laura Anderson as an expression of our respect
9 and esteem.
