92_HR1047 LRB9217660AGgc 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 3 Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Tamzy 4 Watson of Chicago, who passed away August 8, 2002, at the age 5 of 83; and 6 WHEREAS, Tamzy Watson was born in Malvern, Arkansas to 7 Willie Turner Smith and Vanilla Sanders on June 13, 1919; she 8 is preceded in death by her parents and two sons James and 9 Terry; her brother Willie; and two sisters Tressa B. and 10 Tyree; and 11 WHEREAS, Tamzy Watson accepted Christ at an early age and 12 during her lifetime united herself with other believers; over 13 thirty years ago she found a home and family at United In 14 Christ Lutheran Church, where she remained a faithful member 15 until the Lord called her home; and 16 WHEREAS, Tamzy Watson will be greatly missed by her 17 family, friends, and neighbors who have been touched by her 18 loving spirit, Christian concern, and helpful nature; she 19 will be especially missed by her eight children, Bernice 20 Parham, Janie Lewis, Dorothy Thelmon, Shirley Dixon, Vivian 21 Robinson, Willie Watson, Marvin Hill, and Tyree Watson; her 22 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great- 23 grandchildren; her brother R.V. Smith; Margaret Smith; her 24 godson Alvin Hodges; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, 25 and friends; therefore, be it 26 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 27 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 28 we mourn, along with all those who knew her and loved her, 29 the passing of Tamzy Watson; and be it further 30 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 31 presented to the family of Tamzy Watson with our most sincere -2- LRB9217660AGgc 1 condolences.
