92_HR0982 LRB9217033RHrh 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The highest award the National Council of the 3 Boy Scouts of America can bestow upon a Scout is that of 4 Eagle Scout; and 5 WHEREAS, Roderick Theodore Wirth of Boy Scout Troop 92, 6 in Antioch, received the Eagle Scout Award at a Court of 7 Honor held on May 26, 2002; and 8 WHEREAS, In order to qualify as an Eagle Scout, a young 9 man must demonstrate outstanding qualities of leadership, a 10 willingness to be of help to others, and superior skills in 11 camping, lifesaving, and first aid; and 12 WHEREAS, In earning this high rank, Roderick Wirth joins 13 an elite and honorable fraternity of achievers that counts 14 among its members an extraordinary number of this nation's 15 great leaders in business, government, education, and other 16 sectors of society; and 17 WHEREAS, The achievement of the rank of Eagle Scout 18 reflects favorably upon the recipient, his justly proud 19 family, his Scoutmaster, and his fellow scouts; therefore, be 20 it 21 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 22 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 23 we join his family and friends in congratulating Roderick 24 Theodore Wirth upon attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout 25 and commend him upon the unswerving dedication to excellence 26 that is the hallmark of the Eagle Scout; and be it further 27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 28 presented to Eagle Scout Roderick Theodore Wirth as an 29 expression of our respect and esteem.
