1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to express their sincere condolences to
4 the family and friends of Ruthie Fell Wander of Highland
5 Park, who passed away on February 13, 2002; and
6 WHEREAS, Mrs. Wander was born November 20, 1937 to Abe
7 and Eleanor Fell; she was married to Herbert S. Wander; and
8 WHEREAS, Mrs. Wander was President of the League of Women
9 Voters of Highland Park and was active in the Jewish Women's
10 Foundation of the Chicago Jewish Federation, having attained
11 the status of Lion of Judah; she was also involved in the
12 National Foundation of Jewish Culture; and
13 WHEREAS, Mrs. Wander will be deeply missed by all those
14 who knew her and loved her, especially her husband, Herbert;
15 her children, Daniel (Ruth Freedman) Wander, Susan (Richard)
16 Sorkin, and Lois Wander; her grandchildren, Abigail Anne,
17 Samuel Alexander, Rachel Eleanor, and Hannah Shoshana; her
18 sister, Bitsy (Bruce) Winograd; and her brothers, Joseph
19 (Karen Templeton) Fell and Frank (Jan) Fell; therefore, be it
20 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
21 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
22 we mourn the death of Ruthie Fell Wander and extend our
23 deepest sympathies to her family and friends; and be it
24 further
25 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be sent
26 to her husband, Herbert S. Wander.
