1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are honored to recognize milestone events in
4 the history of organizations in the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that the Commission
6 on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. has
7 awarded Accredited/Reaccredited and Certified status to the
8 Hanover Park Police Department; and
9 WHEREAS, The Hanover Park Police Department belongs to an
10 elite group of over 500 law enforcement agencies in the
11 United States, Canada, and Barbados that have received this
12 prestigious, international recognition; and
13 WHEREAS, The members of the Hanover Park Police
14 Department have taken extraordinary steps to demonstrate
15 their professionalism and pride in delivering quality law
16 enforcement service to their community; and
17 WHEREAS, The Commission on Accreditation for Law
18 Enforcement Agencies, Inc. is an independent, nonprofit
19 organization, founded by the four law enforcement membership
20 associations: the International Association of Chiefs of
21 Police, the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement
22 Executives, the National Sheriff's Association, and the
23 Police Executive Research Forum; and
24 WHEREAS, Each agency seeking accreditation must enter the
25 program voluntarily; once eligible, the agency must meet or
26 exceed all applicable standards contained in the Commission
27 on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc.'s manual
28 of 443 standards; the standards address all areas of
29 administration, operation, and technical support activities;
30 therefore, be it
31 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

1 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
2 we congratulate the Hanover Park Police Department on being
3 awarded Accredited/Reaccredited and Certified status by the
4 Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies,
5 Inc.; and be it further
6 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7 presented to the Hanover Park Police Department as an
8 expression of our esteem.
