1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to honor notable citizens from
4 the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, Beatrice Moore of Chicago, has loyally served
6 the State of Illinois as a foster parent for the past 29
7 years; and
8 WHEREAS, Beatrice Moore has been a foster parent to over
9 100 children throughout the State of Illinois; and
10 WHEREAS, Beatrice Moore was born on May 29, 1903 in
11 Neuhardt, Arkansas; she has been a resident of Chicago for
12 over 60 years; and
13 WHEREAS, In addition to her foster children, Beatrice
14 Moore raised 14 natural children and one adopted child; and
15 WHEREAS, Beatrice Moore has provided a home to over 100
16 children in their time of need and has treated each child as
17 if they were her very own; therefore, be it
18 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
19 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
20 we thank Beatrice Moore for her extreme generosity and
21 dedication for the past 29 years as a foster parent to over
22 100 children; and be it further
23 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
24 presented to Beatrice Moore as an expression of our esteem.
