92_HR0414 LRB9209094RHrh 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 3 Representatives are pleased to recognize milestone events in 4 the lives of the citizens of the State of Illinois; and 5 WHEREAS, Charles Gray graduated from Illinois State 6 University and began his teaching career as a high school 7 teacher in Paxton, Illinois, and then taught middle school in 8 Brookfield, Illinois; and 9 WHEREAS, Charles Gray was hired by School District 61 as 10 a social studies teacher at Eisenhower Junior High School and 11 became Assistant Principal in 1976; and 12 WHEREAS, Charles Gray became Principal at Mark DeLay 13 School and later Principal at Lace School; and 14 WHEREAS, He has influenced and supported academics, fine 15 arts, and athletic programs with the children always at the 16 forefront; and 17 WHEREAS, He has shared both his interests and excitement 18 with students, parents, and staff; and 19 WHEREAS, Charles Gray's exceptional dedication and 20 commitment to excellence has propelled School District 61 21 into prominence as one of the finest school districts within 22 DuPage County; therefore, be it 23 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 24 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 25 we do hereby honor Charles Gray for his many positive 26 contributions, in particular, for his dedication, leadership, 27 and professionalism, his efforts have enriched the lives of 28 Darien's young adults and the entire community for the past 29 30 years and we wish him well in all of his future endeavors; 30 and be it further -2- LRB9209094RHrh 1 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 2 presented to Charles Gray as an expression of our esteem.
