1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives offer our sincere congratulations to the 2001
4 Timothy Christian High School Lady Trojans Track and Field
5 Team, Coach Kevin Hackert and Assistant Coach Dan Van Prooyen
6 on their second State championship in three years; and
7 WHEREAS, The Lady Trojans won the Class A Track and Field
8 Championship with a total of 63 points, including first place
9 finishes in the 800 medley and the 1,600 relay events; and
10 WHEREAS, Team members who worked countless hours over the
11 past months include Laura Hamilton, Becky Heerdt, Kathryn
12 Hennis, Amber Stratton, Beth Van Prooyen, Kate Barry, Ashley
13 Jongsma, Rachel Reed, Caitlin Rogers, Brit Salazar, Tafesah
14 Storey, Jessica Verlare, Sharon Voss, Abby Whitmer, Ashley
15 Afman, Heidi Baumbach, Katie Churchill, Amy Dirkse, Fenna
16 Kooima, Elizabeth Pippert, Jessica Sikkema, Larae Woudstra,
17 Brittney Dobbins, Jenny Loerop, Karen Russell, Amanda Torres,
18 Megan Voss, Wendy Zigterman, and Jenny Zylstra; and
19 WHEREAS, Tafesah Storey, in only her junior year, won a
20 very impressive 4 individual medals; and
21 WHEREAS, Senior Laura Hamilton ended an amazing high
22 school career by taking second in the 300 meter intermediate
23 hurdles; and
24 WHEREAS, We recognize the hard work and dedication of
25 Head Coach Kevin Hackert and Assistant Coach Dan Van Prooyen
26 to continue the winning tradition at Timothy Christian High
27 School that includes four Class A Track and Field State
28 Championships in the past nine years; and
29 WHEREAS, We recognize that this victory is also shared by
30 families, friends, the Elmhurst community and the entire
31 student body of Timothy Christian High School, who have

1 supported the team all season; therefore, be it
2 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
3 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
4 we do hereby offer our congratulations to Head Coach Kevin
5 Hackert, Assistant Coach Dan Van Prooyen and the Lady Trojans
6 of Timothy Christian for once again winning the Class A Track
7 and Field State Championship on May 19, 2001; and be it
8 further
9 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10 presented to Head Coach Kevin Hackert, Assistant Coach Dan
11 Van Prooyen, and the entire Timothy Christian Lady Trojan
12 Track and Field Team.
