92_HR0339 LRB9208936RHrhA 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 3 Representatives are pleased to recognize milestone events in 4 the lives of the citizens of the State of Illinois; and 5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Joseph C. 6 Wilson, a lifelong resident of Libertyville, Illinois and 7 graduate of Culver-Stockton College in Missouri, is retiring 8 from his duties as Principal of Butterfield School in 9 Libertyville School District 70 in June, 2000; and 10 WHEREAS, Joseph C. Wilson has enjoyed a career of 11 thirty-four years in education; he has spent the last 12 twenty-seven years as an educator in School District 70; and 13 WHEREAS, Joseph C. Wilson has served as Principal of 14 Butterfield School since 1983; under his leadership, 15 Butterfield School was the recipient of the National Blue 16 Ribbon Schools Award in 1993-1994; and 17 WHEREAS, Joseph C. Wilson was known for sharing his 18 office with the Butterfield School's mascot, Webster the 19 iguana; and 20 WHEREAS, Joseph C. Wilson is the ultimate outdoorsman 21 with a home in Eagle River; he is an accomplished carpenter 22 and his work is displayed throughout Libertyville; he is also 23 an avid reader of mystery novels; and 24 WHEREAS, Joseph C. Wilson is supported by his loving and 25 very proud family who include his wife, Sandy, his son and 26 daughter-in-law, Sean and Stephanie Wilson, his daughter and 27 son-in-law, Tracy and Al Friello, and his grandchildren, 28 Matthew and Allison Friello; and 29 WHEREAS, Joseph C. Wilson's leadership will be dearly 30 missed by the faculty, staff, and students, both past and -2- LRB9208936RHrhA 1 present, in School District 70, where he has loyally served 2 for twenty-seven years; therefore, be it 3 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 4 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 5 we congratulate Joseph C. Wilson on his retirement from his 6 duties as Principal of Butterfield School in School District 7 70 and we wish him well in all of his future endeavors; and 8 be it further 9 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 10 presented to Joseph C. Wilson as an expression of our esteem.
