92_HR0257 LRB9208757RHrh 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 3 Representatives are pleased to recognize milestone events in 4 the lives of the citizens of the State of Illinois; and 5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Raymond 6 Pietrus is retiring after serving a dedicated twenty-five 7 years with the Village of LaGrange Park, Illinois; and 8 WHEREAS, Raymond Pietrus has been a resident of LaGrange 9 Park for the past thirty-two years; he has served on the 10 Planning and Police Commissions for five years, as Village 11 Trustee for twelve years, and as Village President for eight 12 years; and 13 WHEREAS, During his service with the Village of LaGrange 14 Park, Mr. Pietrus served as the initiator of LaGrange Park's 15 Economic Development Program and helped secure funding for 16 the 31st Street Redevelopment Project; and 17 WHEREAS, Raymond Pietrus currently serves as President of 18 the West Central Municipal Conference; he is a member of the 19 Proviso Municipal League and the Legislation Committee of the 20 Metropolitan Mayors Caucus; and he represented the Village of 21 LaGrange Park and WCMC at the "National League of Cities 22 Conference" in Boston, Massachusetts in December of 2000; and 23 WHEREAS, Raymond Pietrus is a veteran of the United 24 States Navy, serving from 1943 until 1946; and 25 WHEREAS, Raymond Pietrus is supported by his loving and 26 very proud family, which includes his two daughters, Nancy 27 and Susan; and 28 WHEREAS, The Village of LaGrange Park honored the service 29 of Raymond Pietrus at a reception on April, 23, 2001; 30 therefore, be it -2- LRB9208757RHrh 1 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 2 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 3 we congratulate Raymond Pietrus on his retirement from a 4 dedicated twenty five years of service with the Village of 5 LaGrange Park, Illinois; and be it further 6 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 7 presented to Raymond Pietrus as an expression of our esteem.
