1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to recognize milestone events in
4 the history of organizations in the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, The Mt. Ziot Swingsations competed in the
6 Showstoppers Showchoir Invitational on March 22 through March
7 25, 2001 in Orlando, Florida, and came home as the National
8 Grand Champions; and
9 WHEREAS, The Swingsations were among the top 15 mixed
10 showchoirs competing; the group captured two out of three
11 distinguishing awards, including Best General Effect and Best
12 Visual Effect; and
13 WHEREAS, The members of the Mt. Zion Swingsations are
14 Lindsay Austin, Sarah Carter, Stephanie Freeman, Ashley
15 Giberson, Brooke Grinestaff, Lyndsay Myers, Shelly Norbits,
16 Alexis Prather, Sarah Smallwood, Gretchen Wells, Kaitlyn
17 Woodrum, Ashley Lewis, Brittany Austin, Sarah Curtis, Molly
18 Dunn, Lindsey Eader, Amanda Fiesler, Ashley Gemar, Erica
19 Hale, Jessica Huddleston, McKenna Macintosh, Kristin Rezinas,
20 Lindsey Wilkey, Mallory Workman, Daniel Alderson, Joshua
21 Barnhart, Chris Barton, Kyle Borders, Robby Bruder, Chad
22 Howard, Geoffry Owens, Michael Queary, Ethan Roush, Michael
23 Schwitek, Christopher Shafer, Benjamin Andreas, Travis Baker,
24 Bryan Barton, Andrew Bruder, Jake Diercks, Dan Diskey, Noah
25 Freund, Ryne Holman, Brian Marley, Zachary Monts, Mathew
26 Trusner, Bryan West, Brian Armstrong, Quinn Bagley, Wyatt
27 Beard, Trevor Brothers, Michael Capasso, Weston Dombroski,
28 Michael Lewallen, Matt Livasy, Justin McKibben, Chris Petty,
29 Cullen Whicker, and Morgan Wiley; the director of the
30 Swingsations is Jeff Gemar; and the assistant director is
31 Heather Pistorius; the choreographer is Dwight Jordan; the
32 combo director is Perry Rezinas; and the accompanist is Nancy

1 Fiesler; and
2 WHEREAS, The Swingsations were greeted by family and
3 friends upon their return from the Invitational; the Mt. Zion
4 Swingsations will perform at their annual Swingsations Dinner
5 Theatre at Mt. Zion High School on April 20 and 21, 2001;
6 therefore, be it
7 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
8 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
9 we congratulate the Mt. Zion Swingsations on becoming the
10 2001 National Grand Champions at the Showstoppers Showchoir
11 Invitational; and be it further
12 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13 presented to the members of the Mt. Zion Swingsations as an
14 expression of our esteem.
