1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to acknowledge Pastor Eugene Roberson on
4 the occasion of being honored by his church family as a
5 preacher, leader, teacher, administrator, friend, and
6 brother; and
7 WHEREAS, Pastor Roberson entered into the ministry in
8 1979; and
9 WHEREAS, Pastor Roberson helps to develop young minds as
10 a teacher at Central Junior High School in Zion-Benton
11 Township as well as in the Youth Church Ministry he
12 introduced in 1999; and
13 WHEREAS, Pastor Roberson has received many awards and
14 accolades such as an Award of Dedication presented by the
15 Unit Church Usher League of Illinois, the Harambee Award of
16 Excellence presented by the College of Lake County, and the
17 Key to the City of Florence, Alabama; and
18 WHEREAS, He will be honored for his many accomplishments
19 at First Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church; and
20 WHEREAS, Pastor Roberson's entire congregation thanks him
21 for his many contributions to the life of their church;
22 therefore, be it
23 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
24 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
25 we declare May 11, 2001 to be named Pastor Eugene Roberson
26 Day in the State of Illinois; and be it further
27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
28 presented to Pastor Eugene Roberson.
