92_HR0178 LRB9208527KBkbB 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, Brother Rice High School is located in Chicago, 3 Illinois, and has an exemplary record of educating young men 4 from the South Side of Chicago and Southwest Suburbs since 5 1956; and 6 WHEREAS, The Brother Rice Crusaders hockey team won the 7 Chicago Catholic League 2000-2001 regular season 8 championship; and 9 WHEREAS, The Brother Rice Crusaders hockey team also 10 captured the Catholic League Kennedy Cup Playoffs, defeating 11 Marist High School 2 games to 0 to win the championship for 12 the first time since 1976; and 13 WHEREAS, The team record for the year was thirty wins, 14 nine losses, and six tie games; their Catholic League record 15 was twelve wins, one loss, and five tie games; and their 16 record in the Kennedy Cup Playoffs was four wins and one 17 loss, defeating both Mt. Carmel High School and Marist High 18 School; and 19 WHEREAS, The team consists of players Derek Mulqueen, 20 Steve Dorich, Joe Dovalina, Darcy Folliard, Matt Ingersoll, 21 A.J. Kerr, Rob Kintz, Bruce Logsdon, Jay Nicky, Josh Odelson, 22 Dan O'Donnell, Jamie Pembroke, Rich Pierzynski, Matt 23 Ribikawskis, Jim Hall, and Dennis Folliard; the team coaches 24 are Jamie Pembroke and Pat Folliard; the team manager is Burt 25 Odelson; and the moderator is Ellen Douville; therefore, be 26 it 27 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 28 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 29 we congratulate the players and coaches from the Brother Rice 30 Crusaders hockey team on winning the 2000-2001 Chicago 31 Catholic League regular season championship and the Kennedy -2- LRB9208527KBkbB 1 Cup Playoffs; and be it further 2 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 3 presented to the Brother Rice Crusaders hockey team.
