1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to acknowledge Irene Lovelace on the
4 occasion of her 70th birthday; and
5 WHEREAS, Irene Lovelace is a life long resident of Lake
6 County and graduated from Waukegan Township High School; and
7 WHEREAS, Irene Lovelace served the government for over 30
8 years at the Great Lakes Naval Base in the Housing Office for
9 the Department of the Navy; and
10 WHEREAS, She is a life long member of Shiloh Baptist
11 Church and a member of Eureka Temple IBPOE; and
12 WHEREAS, She has volunteered in numerous areas such as a
13 probation judge and the BET Council for Mayor Bobby Thompson;
14 therefore, be it
15 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
16 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
17 we declare March 20, 2001 to be named Irene Lovelace Day in
18 the State of Illinois; and be it further
19 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20 presented to Irene Lovelace.
