92_HR0069 LRB9206480DJks 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, Pregnancy rates among Hispanic teenagers are 3 alarming; and 4 WHEREAS, The General Assembly should take action to find 5 appropriate and effective solutions for this problem; 6 therefore, be it 7 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY- 8 SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that the 9 House Task Force on Hispanic Teen Pregnancy is created to 10 study the rate of pregnancy among Hispanic teenage girls; and 11 be it further 12 RESOLVED, That the Task Force shall consist of: 3 13 Representatives and 3 public members appointed by the Speaker 14 of the House of Representatives; and 2 Representatives and 2 15 public members appointed by the Minority Leader of the House 16 of Representatives; and be it further 17 RESOLVED, That the public members of the task force shall 18 represent the Hispanic community and providers of health care 19 and other services to teenagers; and be it further 20 RESOLVED, That the task force shall submit a report of 21 its findings and recommendations, including recommendations 22 for legislation, to the House of Representatives no later 23 than September 1, 2001.
