1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are please to recognize milestone events in
4 the history of businesses in the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, Tweeks was founded in Indianapolis, Indiana, in
6 1976 to meet the needs of Porsche enthusiasts who wished to
7 maintain, customize or enhance the performance of their
8 automobiles; and
9 WHEREAS, Mike Yager, purchased the assets of Tweeks to
10 become a subsidiary of Mid America Direct, Inc. in June 1999;
11 and
12 WHEREAS, Tweeks now serves as a national sponsor for PCA
13 Club Racing and Rennlist events across the nation; and
14 WHEREAS, In Mr. Yager's willingness to share his hobby
15 and his profession with both seasoned and future enthusiasts,
16 he has opened his research and development facility to the
17 public; and
18 WHEREAS, In the spirit of volunteerism, Mr. Yager has
19 selflessly given his time and energy to the Effingham area,
20 paying special attention to the needs of young people; and
21 WHEREAS, Tweeks has become a major force in the Porsche
22 aftermarket with unprecedented growth following its
23 incorporation into the Mid America Direct, Inc. family of
24 automotive catalogs; and
25 WHEREAS, Tweeks will celebrate its Silver Anniversary on
26 July 21-22, 2001; therefore, be it
27 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
28 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
29 we congratulate Mike Yager on the 25th anniversary of Tweeks
30 and recognize his contributions to the public; and be it
