1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The institution of marriage is one of the
3 cornerstones upon which our society is built, and a marriage
4 that has achieved a notable longevity is truly a model for
5 the people of the State of Illinois; and
6 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Mr. and Mrs.
7 Leo Fonderoli of Arlington, Illinois, will celebrate the
8 fiftieth anniversary of their marriage; and
9 WHEREAS, Leo Fonderoli and Dolores Thompson were united
10 in holy matrimony on January 20, 1951 in Bristol; and
11 WHEREAS, They are the loving parents of Robert (wife,
12 Velma) Fonderoli, Catherine (husband, Terry) Drummer, Rick
13 (wife, Beth) Fonderoli, Tim (wife, Lynda) Fonderoli, Steve
14 (wife, Konni) Fonderoli, Lori Lucas, and the late Jeffrey
15 Fonderoli; the grandparents of fourteen wonderful
16 grandchildren; and the great-grandparents of two
17 great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren; and
18 WHEREAS, The respect for marriage reaches one of its
19 highest plateaus when a couple such as Leo and Dolores
20 Fonderoli celebrate their golden wedding anniversary; and
21 WHEREAS, The Fonderoli's stand as examples of the best of
22 our society, and their love and devotion to each other and to
23 their family and friends serve as a reminder to all that hard
24 work, dedication, and love can make a difference in today's
25 world; therefore, be it
26 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
27 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
28 we congratulate Leo and Dolores Fonderoli on the occasion of
29 their fiftieth wedding anniversary; that we commend them for
30 achieving a long and happy marriage, blessed with children
31 and grandchildren and rich in friendships; and that we wish

2 further
3 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4 presented to them as an expression of our respect and esteem.
