1 AN ACT making appropriations.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. In addition to funds previously appropriated,
5 the sum of $17,000,000, or so much of that amount as may be
6 necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to
7 the Department on Aging to provide a $1-per-hour wage
8 increase for Community Care Program/Homemakers effective July
9 1, 2002.
10 Section 10. In addition to funds previously appropriated,
11 the sum of $3,000,000, or so much of that amount as may be
12 necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to
13 the Department of Human Services for wage parity for
14 homemakers under the Home Services Program.
15 Section 15. In addition to funds previously appropriated,
16 the sum of $6,279,000, or so much of that amount as may be
17 necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to
18 the Department on Aging for a 3% cost of living allowance for
19 providers under the Community Care Program/Homemaker Program
20 effective April 1, 2002.
21 Section 20. In addition to funds previously appropriated,
22 the sum of $8,362,500, or so much of that amount as may be
23 necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to
24 the Department of Human Services for a 3% cost of living
25 allowance for providers under the Home Services Program
26 effective April 1, 2002.
27 Section 25. In addition to funds previously appropriated,
28 the sum of $24,228,750, or so much of that amount as may be

1 necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to
2 the Department of Human Services for a 3% cost of living
3 allowance for providers under the Child Care Program
4 effective April 1, 2002.
5 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
6 becoming law.
