The sum of $4,000,000, or so much thereof 5 as may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of 6 business on June 30, 2002, from an appropriation heretofore 7 made in Article 35, Section 286 of Public Act 92-8, is is 8 appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department 9 of Commerce and Community Affairs for a grant to the City 10 Colleges of Chicago for all costs associated with technology 11 improvements, including, but not limited to the purchase of 12 equipment, software and administration. 13 Section 3.5. The sum of $1,000,000, or so much thereof 14 as may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of 15 business on June 30, 2002, from an appropriation heretofore 16 made in Article 35, Section 287 of Public Act 92-8, is 17 reappropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the 18 Department of Commerce and Community Affairs for a grant to 19 the City of Chicago for the Jobs for Summer Youth Program. 20 Section 3.6. The sum of $490,000, or so much thereof as 21 may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of 22 business on June 30, 2002, from an appropriation heretofore 23 made in Article 35, Section 33 of Public Act 92-8, is 24 reappropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the 25 Department of Commerce and Community Affairs for grants and 26 administrative expenses related to the Illinois Technology 27 Enterprise Corporation Program, including prior year costs. 28 Section 3.7. The amount of $29,000,000, or so much 29 thereof as may be necessary and remains unexpended at the 30 close of business on June 30, 2002, from an appropriation -12- LRB9216270ACsb 1 heretofore made in Article 35, Section 36 of Public Act 92-8, 2 as amended, is reappropriated from the Capital Development 3 Fund to the Department of Commerce and Community Affairs for 4 a grant to the DuPage Airport Authority for planning, design 5 and access infrastructure related to the hi-tech business 6 campus. 7 Section 3.8. The amount of $6,000,000, or so much 8 thereof as may be necessary and remains unexpended at the 9 close of business on June 30, 2002, from an appropriation 10 heretofore made in Article 35, Section 37 of Public Act 92-8, 11 as amended, is reappropriated from the Capital Development 12 Fund to the Department of Commerce and Community Affairs for 13 a grant for planning, design, construction, and all other 14 costs associated with a new Ford Technical Training Center. 15 Section 3.9. The amount of $1,500,000, or so much 16 thereof as may be necessary and remains unexpended at the 17 close of business on June 30, 2002, from an appropriation 18 heretofore made in Article 35, Section 33 of Public Act 92-8, 19 as amended, is reappropriated from the Tobacco Settlement 20 Recovery Fund to the Department of Commerce and Community 21 Affairs for grants and administrative expenses for the 22 Illinois Technology Enterprise Corporation Program, including 23 prior year costs. 24 BUREAU OF TECHNOLOGY AND INDUSTRIAL COMPETITIVENESS 25 REFUNDS 26 Section 3.10. The amounts of $2,500,000, and $1,701,305, 15 or so much thereof as may be necessary and as remain 16 unexpended at the close of business on June 30, 2002, from an 17 appropriation and reappropriation heretofore made for such 18 purpose in Article 35, Section 51 of Public Act 92-8, as 19 amended, are reappropriated from the Capital Development Fund 20 to the Department of Commerce and Community Affairs for a 21 grant to Argonne National Laboratory for the "TRUE GRID 22 I-WIRE" Program. 23 Section 4.5. The amount of $17,493,196, or so much 25 thereof as may be necessary, and remains unexpended at the 26 close of business on June 30, 2002, from a reappropriation 27 heretofore made in Article 35, Section 263 of Public Act 28 92-8, as amended is reappropriated from the Fund for 29 Illinois' Future to the Department of Commerce and Community 30 Affairs for grants to units of government, educational 31 facilities and not-for-profit organizations for education and -60- LRB9216270ACsb 1 training, infrastructure improvements and other capital 2 projects, including but not limited to planning, 3 construction, reconstruction, equipment, utilities and 4 vehicles, and all costs associated with economic development 5 programs, community service programs, public health programs, 6 public safety programs, and other programs and activities. 7 Section 87. The amount of $11,258,849, or so much 8 thereof as may be necessary, and remains unexpended at the 9 close of business on June 30, 2002, from a reappropriation 10 heretofore made in Article 35, Section 264 of Public Act 11 92-8, as amended is reappropriated from the Capital 12 Development Fund to the Department of Commerce and Community 13 Affairs for grants to units of local government and 14 educational facilities for all costs associated with 15 infrastructure improvements and capital projects, including 16 equipment and vehicles. 17 Section 88. The amount of $1,354,435, or so much thereof 18 as may be necessary, and remains unexpended at the close of 19 business on June 30, 2002, from a reappropriation heretofore 20 made in Article 35, Section 265 of Public Act 92-8, as 21 amended, is reappropriated from the Fund for Illinois' Future 22 to the Department of Commerce and Community Affairs for all 23 costs associated with grants to various units of local 24 government, community, civic, not-for-profit, educational 25 facilities and business development organizations for the 26 purpose of grants which include, but are not limited to, 27 one-time operating assistance, construction, rehabilitation, 28 equipment purchases, and any other necessary costs. 29 Section 89. The amount of $15,772,000, or so much 14 thereof as may be necessary, and remains unexpended at the 15 close of business on June 30, 2002, from a reappropriation 16 heretofore made in Article 35, Section 270 of Public Act 17 92-8, as amended, is reappropriated from the Fund for 18 Illinois' Future to the Department of Commerce and Community 19 Affairs for all costs associated with grants to governmental 20 units, community, civic, not-for-profit, educational 21 facilities and business development organizations for the 22 purpose of grants which include, but are not limited to, 23 one-time operating assistance, construction, rehabilitation, 24 equipment purchases, and any other necessary costs. 25 Section 94. The amount of $8,408,500, or so much thereof 26 as may be necessary, and remains unexpended at the close of 27 business on June 30, 2002, from a reappropriation heretofore 28 made in Article 35, Section 271 of Public Act 92-8, as 29 amended, is reappropriated from the Capital Development Fund 30 to the Department of Commerce and Community Affairs for all 31 costs associated with various construction and/or 32 rehabilitation projects, and equipment purchases for various -63- LRB9216270ACsb 1 units of local government, educational facilities and other 2 eligible entities. 3 Section 95. The amount of $75,000, or so much thereof as 4 may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of 5 business on June 30, 2002, from a reappropriation heretofore 6 made in Article 35, Section 272 of Public Act 92-8, as 7 amended, is reappropriated to the Department of Commerce and 8 Community Affairs from the Fund for Illinois' Future for a 9 grant to the Illinois Youth Advocate Program. 10 Section 96. The amount of $15,000, or so much thereof as 11 may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of 12 business on June 30, 2002, from a reappropriation heretofore 13 made in Article 35, Section 273 of Public Act 92-8, as 14 amended, is reappropriated to the Department of Commerce and 15 Community Affairs from the Fund for Illinois' Future for a 16 grant to the Tri-City Girls' Softball League. 17 Section 97. The amount of $150,000, or so much thereof 18 as may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of 19 business on June 30, 2002, from a reappropriation heretofore 20 made in Article 35, Section 274 of Public Act 92-8, as 21 amended, is reappropriated to the Department of Commerce and 22 Community Affairs from the Fund for Illinois' Future for a 23 grant to the Pastors Network of Illinois. 24 Section 98. The amount of $100,000, or so much thereof 25 as may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of 26 business on June 30, 2002, from an appropriation heretofore 27 made in Article 35, Section 275 of Public Act 92-8, as 28 amended, is reappropriated to the Department of Commerce and 29 Community Affairs from the Fund for Illinois' Future for a 30 grant to the Valley Kingdom Ministries International. -64- LRB9216270ACsb 1 Section 99. The amount of $70,000, or so much thereof 9 as may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of 10 business on June 30, 2002, from a reappropriation heretofore 11 made in Article 35, Section 298 of Public Act 92-8, as 12 amended, is reappropriated from Fund for Illinois' Future to 13 the Department of Commerce and Community Affairs for a grant 14 to the Amy B. Jones Foundation. 15 Section 101. The sum of $20,000,000, or so much thereof 16 as may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of 17 business on June 30, 2002, from an appropriation heretofore 18 made in Article 35, Section 299 of Public Act 92-8, is 19 reappropriated from the Capital Development Fund to the 20 Department of Commerce and Community Affairs for a grant to 21 the City of Springfield for bondable infrastructure expenses 22 associated with the Old Capitol Plaza and related 23 improvements. 24 Section 102. The sum of $22,400,000, or so much thereof 25 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Capital 26 Development Fund to the Department of Commerce and Community 27 Affairs for miscellaneous capital improvements. 28 Section 999. Effective Date. This Act takes effect on 29 July 1, 2002.
