Amend House Bill 5996 on page 1, 3 line 5 by changing "9" to "5"; and 4 on page 2, line 31 by inserting after the period the 5 following: 6 "The party requesting a consolidated investigatory hearing 7 shall have the burden of establishing that there is no 8 existing prevailing wage classification for the particular 9 craft or type of worker in any of the localities under 10 consideration."; and 11 by replacing line 33 of page 2, all of pages 3 through 5, and 12 lines 1 through 7 of page 6 with the following: 13 "(820 ILCS 130/5) (from Ch. 48, par. 39s-5) 14 Sec. 5. The contractor and each subcontractor or the 15 officer of the public body in charge of the project shall 16 keep or cause to be kept, an accurate record showing the 17 names and occupation of all laborers, workers and mechanics 18 employed by them, in connection with said public work, and 19 showing also the actual hourly wages paid to each of such 20 persons, which record shall be open at all reasonable hours 21 to the inspection of the public body awarding the contract, 22 its officers and agents, and to the Director of Labor and his -2- LRB9215375WHcsam01 1 deputies and agents. Any contractor or subcontractor that 2 maintains its principal place of business outside of this 3 State shall keep the required records or accurate copies of 4 those records within this State and shall make them available 5 at all reasonable hours for inspection. 6 (Source: P.A. 81-992.)".
