92_HB5718eng HB5718 Engrossed LRB9214479AGmb 1 AN ACT concerning domestic violence. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 Section 5. The Department of State Police Law of the 5 Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding 6 Section 2605-310 as follows: 7 (20 ILCS 2605/2605-310 new) 8 Sec. 2605-310. Office of Domestic Violence Prevention. 9 (a) The Department shall establish an Office of Domestic 10 Violence Prevention. The Office of Domestic Violence 11 prevention shall collaborate with the Department of Human 12 Services on coordinating cross-system services in response to 13 domestic violence. Services include, but are not limited to, 14 those of law enforcement, the courts, human services, health 15 agencies, community-based providers, employers and schools. 16 (b) The Department must adopt rules to implement this 17 Section.
