1 AN ACT concerning airports.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Zoning to Eliminate Airport Hazards Act
5 is amended by changing Section 1 as follows:
6 (620 ILCS 30/1) (from Ch. 15 1/2, par. 48.101)
7 Sec. 1. The safety, health, welfare, and protection of
8 persons and property in the air and on the ground and of the
9 maintenance of electronic communications within this State
10 require that the navigable airspace overlying the State and
11 the approaches to and the air traffic pattern area of any
12 public airport in this State be maintained in a reasonably
13 unobstructed condition for the safe flight of aircraft. To
14 that end, the location, height, and identification of
15 structures and the use of land thereto related to structures
16 are regulated.
