92_HB4866 LRB9212084ACcd 1 AN ACT in relation to the regulation of professions. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 Section 5. The Pharmacy Practice Act of 1987 is amended 5 by changing Section 8 as follows: 6 (225 ILCS 85/8) (from Ch. 111, par. 4128) 7 (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2008) 8 Sec. 8. Licensure without examination. The Department 9 may, in its discretion, license as a pharmacist, without 10 examination, on payment of the required fee, an applicant who 11 is so licensed under the laws of another U.S. jurisdiction or 12 another country, if the requirements for licensure in the 13 other jurisdiction in which the applicant was licensed, were, 14 at the date of his licensure deemed by the Board to be 15 substantially equivalent to the requirements then in force in 16 this State. 17 (Source: P.A. 85-796.)
