1 AN ACT concerning taxes.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Cigarette Tax Act is amended by changing
5 Section 4a as follows:
6 (35 ILCS 130/4a) (from Ch. 120, par. 453.4a)
7 Sec. 4a. License revocation; bond forfeiture. If a
8 licensee shall be convicted of the violation of any of the
9 provisions of this Act, or if his license shall be revoked
10 and no review is had of the order or revocation, or if on
11 review thereof the decision is adverse to the licensee, or if
12 a licensee fails to pay an assessment as to which no judicial
13 review is sought and which has become final, or pursuant to
14 which, upon review thereof, the circuit court has entered a
15 judgment that is in favor of the Department and that has
16 become final, the bond filed pursuant to this Act shall
17 thereupon be forfeited, and the Department may institute a
18 suit upon such bond in its own name for the entire amount of
19 such bond and costs. Such suit upon the bond shall be in
20 addition to any other remedy provided for herein.
