1 AN ACT in relation to county government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Counties Code is amended by changing
5 Section 1-2004 as follows:
6 (55 ILCS 5/1-2004) (from Ch. 34, par. 1-2004)
7 Sec. 1-2004. Restriction. No county shall be reduced,
8 under the provisions of this Division, to less contents than
9 400 square miles; nor shall any county line be made to pass
10 within less than 10 ten miles of the county seat of the
11 county from which territory is so transferred.
