92_HB3995 LRB9213488LDtm 1 AN ACT in relation to alcohol. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 Section 5. The Liquor Control Act of 1934 is amended by 5 changing Section 6-14 as follows: 6 (235 ILCS 5/6-14) (from Ch. 43, par. 129) 7 Sec. 6-14. Retail sales on Sundays. No person shall sell 8 at retail any alcoholic liquor on Sundays unless authorized 9 by general ordinance or resolution of the city council, 10 president and board of trustees, or county board, as the case 11 may be; provided, however that the city council, president 12 and board of trustees, or county board, as the case may be, 13 may further restrict the permissible hours for the sale of 14 alcoholic liquors under such licenses in its political 15 subdivision as the public good and convenience may require. 16 (Source: P.A. 82-783.)
