1 AN ACT regarding townships.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Township Code is amended by changing
5 Section 285-10 as follows:
6 (60 ILCS 1/285-10)
7 Sec. 285-10. Use of moneys. Moneys paid to the township
8 supervisor under Section 285-5, may be appropriated and
9 expended for defraying the general charges and expenses of
10 the township; for laying out, making, and repairing the roads
11 and bridges of the township and for purchasing materials,
12 implements, and machinery for those undertakings; and for the
13 payment of any outstanding orders, all in the manner and
14 proportions the legal voters of the township determine at
15 their annual township meeting or special township meeting
16 duly called for that purpose.
