1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3499
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 3499, by deleting
3 everything after the enacting clause and inserting in lieu
4 thereof the following:
5 "Section 1. The following named amounts, or so much
6 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects
7 and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated to meet the
8 ordinary and contingent expenses of the Illinois Criminal

8 federal assistance programs administered by units of state
9 and local government and non-profit organizations:

14 Section 5. The following named amounts, or so much
15 thereof as may be necessary, are appropriated to the Illinois

17 and other monies received from federal agencies, from other
18 units of government, and from private/not-for-profit
19 organizations for activities undertaken in support of
20 investigating issues in criminal justice and for undertaking
21 other criminal justice information projects:

16 Section 7. The sum of $40,000,000, or so much thereof as
17 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Criminal Justice
18 Trust Fund to the Illinois Criminal Justice Information
19 Authority for awards and grants to state agencies and units
20 of local government, to include operational activities and
21 programs undertaken by the Authority, in support of Federal
22 Crime Bill Initiatives.
23 Section 8. The following amounts, or so much thereof as
24 may be necessary, are appropriated to the Illinois Criminal
25 Justice Information Authority for awards and grants to state
26 agencies and units of local government, including operational
27 expenses of the Authority in support of the Juvenile
28 Accountability Incentive Block Grant program:
29 Payable from the Juvenile Accountability
30 Incentive Block Grant Trust Fund .............. 8,770,400

1 Section 9. The sum of $100,000, or so much thereof as
2 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
3 Fund to the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority
4 for awards and grants and operational costs in support of the
5 Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Pilot Program.
6 Section 999. Effective date. This Act takes effect July
7 1, 2001.".
