1 AN ACT in relation to insurance.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Children's Health Insurance Program Act
5 is amended by adding Section 27 as follows:
6 (215 ILCS 106/27 new)
7 Sec. 27. Promotional program. The Department shall
8 administer a program to promote the Children's Health
9 Insurance Program. As a part of the promotional program, the
10 Department shall give away child care products to applicants
11 for the Children's Health Insurance Program. The items that
12 the Department may give away as part of the promotional
13 program include, but are not limited to, gift certificates
14 for child care products such as diapers, child car safety
15 seats, and other similar items.
16 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
17 becoming law.
