1 AN ACT concerning library districts.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Public Library District Act of 1991 is
5 amended by changing Section 1-10 as follows:
6 (75 ILCS 16/1-10)
7 Sec. 1-10. Establishment of districts and libraries. To
8 provide local public institutions of general education for
9 citizens of Illinois, library districts and libraries may be
10 established, equipped, and maintained by the board pursuant
11 to this Act. The That library shall be forever for the use
12 of the residents and taxpayers of the district in which it is
13 located, subject to reasonable rules and regulations the
14 board adopts to render the use of the library of the greatest
15 benefit to the greatest number of those residents and
16 taxpayers.
