92_HB3125eng HB3125 Engrossed LRB9201525WHcs 1 AN ACT concerning support. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 Section 5. The Uniform Interstate Family Support Act is 5 amended by changing Section 602 as follows: 6 (750 ILCS 22/602) 7 Sec. 602. Procedure to register order for enforcement. 8 (a) A support order or income-withholding order of 9 another state may be registered in this State by sending the 10 following documents and information to the appropriate 11 tribunalcircuit courtin this State: 12 (1) a letter of transmittal to the tribunal 13 requesting registration and enforcement; 14 (2) 2 copies, including one certified copy, of all 15 orders to be registered, including any modification of an 16 order; 17 (3) a sworn statement by the party seeking 18 registration or a certified statement by the custodian of 19 the records showing the amount of any arrearage; 20 (4) the name of the obligor and, if known: 21 (i) the obligor's address and social security 22 number; 23 (ii) the name and address of the obligor's 24 employer and any other source of income of the 25 obligor; and 26 (iii) a description and the location of 27 property of the obligor in this State not exempt 28 from execution; and 29 (5) the name and address of the obligee and, if 30 applicable, the agency or person to whom support payments 31 are to be remitted. HB3125 Engrossed -2- LRB9201525WHcs 1 (b) On receipt of a request for registration, the 2 registering tribunal shall cause the order to be filed as a 3 foreign judgment, together with one copy of the documents and 4 information, regardless of their form. 5 (c) A petition or comparable pleading seeking a remedy 6 that must be affirmatively sought under other law of this 7 State may be filed at the same time as the request for 8 registration or later. This Act takes effect upon 13 becoming law.
