1 AN ACT in relation to public aid.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
5 changing Section 1-3 as follows:
6 (305 ILCS 5/1-3) (from Ch. 23, par. 1-3)
7 Sec. 1-3. Prior statute. The provisions of this Code, so
8 far as they are the same, or substantially the same, as the
9 1949 Code shall be construed as a continuation of the such
10 prior provisions and not as a new enactment. If in any other
11 law reference is made to the 1949 Code, or a section thereof
12 which is continued in this Code, the such reference shall be
13 held to refer to this Code or the section thereof so
14 continued.
