1 AN ACT in relation to public employee benefits.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Pension Code is amended by
5 changing Section 22-601 as follows:
6 (40 ILCS 5/22-601) (from Ch. 108 1/2, par. 22-601)
7 Sec. 22-601. Preservation of pension rights. The
8 provisions of the Municipal Employees Military Active Duty
9 Act "An Act authorizing municipal corporations to preserve
10 civil service and pension rights of their employees inducted
11 into or enlisting in the land or naval forces of the United
12 States, or ordered to active duty in the military or naval
13 forces of the State", approved March 26, 1941, and all
14 subsequent amendments and modifications thereof, to the
15 extent applicable, shall apply to preserve pension rights of
16 employees subject to this Code.
