The sum of $50,000, or so much thereof as 18 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue 19 Fund to the Historic Preservation Agency to computerize 20 survey files used in regulatory review and compliance and 21 National Register programs. 22 Section 3b. The sum of $150,000, or so much thereof as 23 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Illinois Historic 24 Sites Fund to the Historic Preservation Agency for awards and 25 grants for historic preservation programs made either 26 independently or in cooperation with the Federal Government 27 or any agency thereof, any municipal corporation, or 28 political subdivision of the State, or with any public or 29 private corporation, organization, or individual. 30 Section 3c. The sum of $165,800, or so much thereof as 31 may be necessary and as remains unexpended at the close of -5- BOB-HPA02 1 business on June 30, 2001, from appropriations and 2 reappropriations heretofore made in Article 32, Sections 3b 3 and 3c of Public Act 91-706, as amended, is reappropriated 4 from the Illinois Historic Sites Fund to the Historic 5 Preservation Agency for awards and grants for historic 6 preservation programs made either independently or in 7 cooperation with the Federal Government or any agency 8 thereof, any municipal corporation, or political subdivision 9 of the State, or with any public or private corporation, 10 organization, or individual. 11 Section 3d. The sum of $500,000, or so much thereof as 12 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue 13 Fund to the Historic Preservation Agency to make Illinois 14 Heritage Grants for the purpose of planning, survey, 15 rehabilitation, restoration, reconstruction, landscaping and 16 acquisition of Illinois properties designated on the National 17 Register of Historic Places or as a landmark based on a 18 county or municipal ordinance or those located within certain 19 historic districts deemed historically significant. 20 Section 4. The sum of $600,000, or so much thereof as 29 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Illinois Historic 30 Sites Fund to the Historic Preservation Agency for 31 operations, maintenance, repairs, permanent improvements, 32 special events, and all other costs related to the operation 33 of Illinois Historic Sites and only to the extent which -8- BOB-HPA02 1 donations are received at Illinois State Historic Sites. 2 Section 5b. The sum of $800,000, or so much thereof as 3 may be necessary, is appropriated to the Historic 4 Preservation Agency from the General Revenue Fund for 5 programs and purposes including repairing, maintaining, 6 reconstructing, rehabilitating, replacing, fixed assets, 7 construction and development, studies, all costs for 8 supplies, materials, labor, land acquisition and its related 9 costs, services and other expenses at historic sites. 10 Section 5c. The sum of $2,000,000, or so much thereof as 11 may be necessary, and as remains unexpended at the close of 12 business on June 30, 2001, from appropriations heretofore 13 made in Article 32, Section 5d of Public Act 91-706, as 14 amended, is reappropriated from the Capital Development Fund 15 to the Historic Preservation Agency for a grant to the Lake 16 County Forest Preserve District for planning, construction 17 and renovation of the Adlai Stevenson Home State Historic 18 Site. 19 Section 6. The sum of $250,000, or so much thereof as 20 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue 21 Fund to the Historic Preservation Agency for costs associated 22 with the A. Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. 23 Section 7. The sum of $205,700, or so much thereof as 24 may be necessary and as remains unexpended at the close of 25 business on June 30, 2001, from appropriations heretofore 26 made in Article 32, Section 6 of Public Act 91-706, as 27 amended, is reappropriated from the General Revenue Fund to 28 the Historic Preservation Agency for the restoration of the 29 Jarrot Mansion. -9- BOB-HPA02 1 Section 8. The amount of $50,200, or so much thereof as 2 may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of 3 business on June 30, 2001, from a reappropriation heretofore 4 made for such purpose in Article 32, Section 7 of Public Act 5 91-706, as amended, is reappropriated from the General 6 Revenue Fund to the Historic Preservation Agency for planning 7 a new historical library and Lincoln Center. 8 Section 9. The sum of $572,000, or so much thereof as 9 may be necessary and as remains unexpended at the close of 10 business on June 30, 2001, from appropriations heretofore 11 made in Article 32, Section 8 of Public Act 91-706, as 12 amended, is reappropriated from the General Revenue Fund to 13 the Historic Preservation Agency for a grant to the Mid South 14 Planning and Development Commission for the restoration of 15 the Overton Hygienic Building. 16 Section 10. The sum of $66,000, or so much thereof as 17 may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of 18 business on June 30, 2001, from an appropriation heretofore 19 made in Article 32, Section 11 of Public Act 91-706, as 20 amended, is reappropriated from the General Revenue Fund to 21 the Historic Preservation Agency for a grant to Williamson 22 County for the clean up and restoration of abandoned, 23 neglected cemeteries. 24 Section 11. The amounts appropriated for repairs and 25 maintenance and other capital improvements in Section 5b of 26 this Article for repairs and/or replacements, and 27 miscellaneous capital improvements at the agency's various 28 historical sites, and are to include construction, 29 reconstruction, improvements, repairs and installation of 30 capital facilities, costs of planning, supplies, materials, 31 and all other types of repairs and maintenance, and capital -10- BOB-HPA02 1 improvements. 2 No contract shall be entered into or obligation incurred 3 for repairs and maintenance and other capital improvements 4 from appropriations made in Section 5c of this Article until 5 after the purposes and amounts have been approved in writing 6 by the Governor. 7 Section 12. The sum of $180,000, or so much thereof as 8 may be necessary, and remains unexpended at the close of 9 business on June 30, 2001, from an appropriation heretofore 10 made in Article 32, Section 14 of Public Act 91-706, as 11 amended, is reappropriated from the Capital Development Fund 12 to the Historic Preservation Agency for improvements to the 13 Galena State Historic Sites for the Ulysses S. Grant 14 Visitors Center. 15 Section 13. The sum of $200,000, or so much thereof as 16 may be necessary, and remains unexpended at the close of 17 business on June 30, 2001, from an appropriation heretofore 18 made in Article 32, Section 30 of Public Act 91-706, as 19 amended, is reappropriated from the Fund for Illinois' Future 20 to the Historic Preservation Agency for grants to units of 21 local government, educational facilities, and not-for-profit 22 organizations for infrastructure improvements, including but 23 not limited to planning, construction, reconstruction, 24 renovation, equipment, utilities and vehicles. 25 Section 14. The sum of $55,000, or so much thereof as 26 may be necessary, and remains unexpended at the close of 27 business on June 30, 2001, from an appropriation heretofore 28 made in Article 32, Section 36 of Public Act 91-706, as 29 amended, is reappropriated from the Fund for Illinois' Future 30 to the Historic Preservation Agency for a grant to Friends of 31 the Albany Mounds Foundation for land acquisition. -11- BOB-HPA02 1 Section 15. The sum of $215,000, or so much thereof as 2 may be necessary, and remains unexpended at the close of 3 business on June 30, 2001, from an appropriation heretofore 4 made in Article 32, Section 37 of Public Act 91-706, as 5 amended, is reappropriated from the Fund for Illinois' Future 6 to the Historic Preservation Agency for grants to units of 7 local government and not-for-profit organizations for 8 infrastructure improvements, including but not limited to 9 planning, construction, renovation, restoration and 10 equipment. 11 Section 16. The sum of $437,800, or so much thereof as 12 may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of 13 business on June 30, 2001, from an appropriation heretofore 14 made in Article 32, Section 38 of Public Act 91-706, as 15 amended, is reappropriated from the Capital Development Fund 16 to the Historic Preservation Agency for costs associated with 17 the acquisition of Sugar Loaf and/or Fox Mounds. 18 Section 17. The sum of $460,000, or so much thereof as 19 may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of 20 business on June 30, 2001, from an appropriation heretofore 21 made in Article 32, Section 39 of Public Act 91-706, as 22 amended, is reappropriated from the Capital Development Fund 23 to the Historic Preservation Agency for support facilities 24 for Sugar Loaf and/or Fox Mounds. 25 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on 26 July 1, 2001.
