1 AN ACT concerning criminal law.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Improper Supervision of Children Act is
5 amended by changing Section 1 as follows:
6 (720 ILCS 640/1) (from Ch. 23, par. 2369)
7 Sec. 1. Any parent, legal guardian or other person
8 commits improper supervision of a child when he knowingly
9 permits a child in his custody or control under the age of 18
10 years to associate with any known streetgang members, as
11 defined in Section 10 of the Illinois Streetgang Terrorism
12 Omnibus Prevention Act, or known thieves, burglars, felons,
13 narcotic addicts or other persons of ill repute, visit a
14 place of prostitution, commit a lewd act, commit an act
15 tending to break the peace or violate a municipal curfew
16 ordinance.

18 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
19 becoming law.
