92_HB1775 LRB9207303TAtm 1 AN ACT concerning job training. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the Job 5 Training Act. 6 Section 90. The Department of Commerce and Community 7 Affairs Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is 8 amended by changing Section 605-115 as follows: 9 (20 ILCS 605/605-115) (was 20 ILCS 605/46.36) 10 Sec. 605-115. Transfer from State Housing Board and 11 Department of Business and Economic Development. In addition 12 to the duties and the powers imposed elsewhere in the Civil 13 Administrative Code of Illinois, the Department has the 14 following powers: 15 (1) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties 16 vested by law in the State Housing Board under the 17 Housing Authorities Act. 18 (2) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties 19 vested by law in the State Housing Board under the 20 Housing Cooperation Law. 21 (3) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties 22 vested by law in the State Housing Board under the 23 Housing Development and Construction Act. 24 (4) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties 25 vested by law in the State Housing Board under the 26 Blighted Areas Redevelopment Act of 1947. 27 (5) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties 28 vested by law in the State Housing Board under the 29 Blighted Vacant Areas Development Act of 1949. 30 (6) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties -2- LRB9207303TAtm 1 vested by law in the State Housing Board under the Urban 2 Community Conservation Act. 3 (7) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties 4 vested by law in the State Housing Board under the Urban 5 Renewal Consolidation Act of 1961. 6 (8) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties 7 vested by law in the State Housing Board under the 8 Redevelopment Project Rehousing Act. 9 (9) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties 10 vested by law in the State Housing Board under the State 11 Housing Act. 12 (10) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties 13 vested by law in the State Housing Board under the 14 Illinois Housing Development Act. 15 (11) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties 16 which had been vested by law in the Department of 17 Business and Economic Development under Sections 46.7 18 (renumbered; now Section 605-200 of this Law; 20 ILCS 19 605/605-200), 46.8 (repealed), 46.23 (repealed), and 47.1 20 (repealed) of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois, 21 previous to August 29, 1969. 22 (12) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties 23 which have been vested by law in the State Housing Board 24 under Section 6b-3 of the State Finance Act. 25 The Department shall render assistance and advice to 26 and take action affecting local governments only upon request 27 of a local government, except as otherwise provided by the 28 powers and duties transferred to the Department by this 29 Section. 30 (Source: P.A. 91-239, eff. 1-1-00.)
