1 AN ACT concerning agriculture.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Fertilizer Act of 1961 is
5 amended by changing Section 6b as follows:
6 (505 ILCS 80/6b) (from Ch. 5, par. 55.6b)
7 Sec. 6b. Fertilizer Control Fund. The amount annually
8 deposited in the Fertilizer Control Fund shall be
9 appropriated for the operation of the Fertilizer Research and
10 Education Program.
11 These moneys shall be used for expenses consistent with
12 carrying out the purpose and intent of the program, which
13 include council expenses, peer review, and contracts to
14 persons for research or education projects and costs
15 associated with general operating expenses, such as
16 administrative support, travel, commodities, and printing.
17 The Department shall receive 3% of the annual amount
18 deposited in the Fertilizer Control Fund.
