1 AN ACT concerning professional regulation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Clinical Psychologist Licensing Act is
5 amended by changing Section 1 as follows:
6 (225 ILCS 15/1) (from Ch. 111, par. 5351)
7 Sec. 1. Policy; short title. The practice of clinical
8 psychology in Illinois is hereby declared to affect the
9 public health, safety and welfare, and to be subject to
10 regulations in the public interest to protect the public from
11 persons who are unauthorized or unqualified to represent
12 themselves as clinical psychologists or as being able to
13 render clinical psychological services as herein defined, and
14 from unprofessional conduct by persons licensed to practice
15 clinical psychology. This Act shall be known and may be
16 cited as the "Clinical Psychologist Licensing Act".
