92_HB1318 LRB9205843TAcs 1 AN ACT concerning veterans. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 Section 5. The Department of Public Health Powers and 5 Duties Law of the Civil Administration Code of Illinois is 6 amended by changing Section 2310-80 as follows: 7 (20 ILCS 2310/2310-80) (was 20 ILCS 2310/55.89) 8 Sec. 2310-80. Aging Veterans Task Force. 9 (a) The Director shall appoint an Aging Veterans Task 10 Force to study the capability of the State to provide health 11 care to veterans of the armed forces after the year 2000. 12 The task force shall consist of persons representing the 13 Department, the Department of Veterans' Affairs, Illinois 14 Veterans Homes, hospitals, nursing homes, other health care 15 facilities, and advocates for residents of Illinois Veterans 16 Homes, hospitals, nursing homes, and other health care 17 facilities. Members of the task force shall serve without 18 compensation but shall be reimbursedother than reimbursement19 for necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their 20 duties. 21 (b) The task force shall conduct a comprehensive 22 examination of the future demands for health care by the 23 State's aging veteran population and the ability of the State 24 to provide that health care. 25 (c) The task force shall make recommendations to assist 26 the Department and the Department of Veterans' Affairs in 27 developing agency and legislative changes to provide health 28 care to the State's veterans after the year 2000.
