1 AN ACT in relation to firearms.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Firearm Owners Identification Card Act is
5 amended by adding Section 3.2 as follows:
6 (430 ILCS 65/3.2 new)
7 Sec. 3.2. Attempting to purchase firearm without a
8 Firearm Owner's Identification Card. A transferor of a
9 firearm and the Department of State Police must report the
10 name and address of a person to the local law enforcement
11 agency where the person resides if the person attempts to
12 purchase a firearm without displaying to the transferor a
13 valid Firearm Owner's Identification Card that has been
14 previously issued in that person's name by the Department of
15 State Police.
16 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
17 becoming law.
