1 AN ACT concerning environmental protection.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Environmental Protection Act is amended
5 by changing Section 20.1 as follows:
6 (415 ILCS 5/20.1) (from Ch. 111 1/2, par. 1020.1)
7 Sec. 20.1. Survey and list of sites; monitoring
8 practices; report.
9 (a) The Agency shall conduct a survey and prepare and
10 publish a list of sites in the State where hazardous waste
11 has been deposited, treated, or stored.
12 (b) The Agency shall monitor hazardous waste processing,
13 use, handling, storage, and disposal practices in the State,
14 and shall determined existing and expected rates of
15 production of hazardous waste.
16 (c) The Agency shall compile and make available to the
17 public an annual report identifying the types and quantities
18 of hazardous waste generated, stored, treated or disposed of
19 within this State and containing the other information
20 required to be collected under this Section.
