1 AN ACT to amend the Procurement Code by changing Section
2 50-65.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Procurement Code is amended by
6 changing Section 50-65 as follows:
7 (30 ILCS 500/50-65)
8 Sec. 50-65. Contractor suspension. Any contractor may
9 be suspended for violation of this Code or for failure to
10 conform to specifications or terms of delivery. Suspension
11 shall be for cause and may be for a period of up to 10 5
12 years at the discretion of the applicable chief procurement
13 officer. Contractors may be debarred in accordance with rules
14 promulgated by the chief procurement officer or as otherwise
15 provided by law.

17 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
18 becoming law.
