92_HB0502eng HB0502 Engrossed LRB9203737NTsb 1 AN ACT respecting education. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section 5 2-3.131 as follows: 6 (105 ILCS 5/2-3.131 new) 7 Sec. 2-3.131. Vocational education revitalization grant 8 program. The State Board of Education shall establish and 9 administer a vocational education revitalization grant 10 program, subject to a separate appropriation to the State 11 Board of Education. Under this program, school districts 12 that have unused or underfunded vocational education programs 13 may apply for grants to revitalize their vocational education 14 programs. 15 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on 16 July 1, 2001.
